Turoš is specialty from Međimurje made of fresh cottage cheese, salt and paprika. Dried in the sun or next to a warm stove, shaped like a cone it was served with spring onions and home-made corn bread.

1 kg (2.20 lb) fresh cottage cheese
paprika
salt

Preparation
Put some salt on the cheese, sprinkle with paprika and mix it all together well. Form the mixture into cones, 5 -7 cm (2-3 in) high.
Dry them for a few days in the sun, occasionally turning.

Serve Turoš cheese as an appetizer, next to spring onions and corn bread.

This amount of mixture will give you 10 cones of cheese.
