Good quality fish from the river, paprika and boiling in a kettle on an open fire is the secret to a good fish paprikash. But an excellent fish paprikash can also be prepared at home. Make sure you serve it with wide noodles.<!--more--><br \/>\n[one_third]<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>600 g (21 oz) onion<br \/>\n100 ml (3.40 fl oz) oil<br \/>\n1.20 kg (42 oz) sliced carp<br \/>\n800 g (28 oz) sliced pike<br \/>\n1 tablespoon salt<br \/>\n1 tablespoon paprika<br \/>\n1 teaspoon of hot paprika<br \/>\n200 ml (6.80 fl oz) tomato juice<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Conversion Calculator for Cooking\" href=\"http:\/\/southernfood.about.com\/library\/info\/blconv.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Conversion Calculator for Cooking<\/a><br \/>\n[\/one_third]<br \/>\n[two_third_last]<\/p>\n<h4>Preparation<\/h4>\n<p>Clean the onion and slice it in small cubes. Warm the oil in a wide and deeper bowl and add the onion. Stew for about 20 minutes with occasional stirring on mid heat.<\/p>\n<p>Distribute the fish, salt it and cover it with a liter of water or so that the water covers the contents. Bring to a boil, add regular and hot paprika and tomato juice.
