Adding only sugar, with light cooking you get a delicious treat that you can combine with bread, pancakes or use in the preparation of cakes.<!--more--><br \/>\n[one_third]<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>1.5 kg (3.30 lb) cleaned strawberries<br \/>\n750 g (26 oz) sugar<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/southernfood.about.com\/library\/info\/blconv.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Conversion Calculator for Cooking<\/a><br \/>\n[\/one_third]<br \/>\n[two_third_last]<\/p>\n<h4>Preparation<\/h4>\n<p>Wash the strawberries, clean them from the stems and remove the squashed parts. Slice them to smaller pieces and transfer them to a wider dish.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle with sugar and boil for about an hour on mid hot temperature. Occasionally remove the foam that is created during cooking.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the hot jam in hot jars (heated in an oven to 100\u00b0C\/212\u00b0F for 30 minutes) and seal well.
